A run in with the Law

Well...... Ellemenopee had its first slap on the hand this week.
In pursuit of the perfect 'Urban' location, Candice and I took a trip down to the Buffalo Central Station. It is an abandoned train station full of nastiness ...that can sometimes be turned into a cool background. As we were working with our not so willing models (Lorenzo cannot stand still...ever) we heard a police siren and someone talking over the loud speaker. I knew we were busted instantly, but then I thought. "We have cameras and really cute kids, how much trouble could we get in?" That was the wrong thing to think. The cops had no problems with Candice and I or our cameras or our trespassing...they were mad about the cute kids. "what were we thinking bringing them down here?", "where did we leave our brains?" and other such questions were asked. Thankfully we weren't given any tickets ...acutally we were invited to come back as much as we like, to take pictures.....just no kids allowed.

The Fair

This was the petting zoo section of the fair. Lorenzo loved it.

This was while we were waiting for the Backyard Circus to begin. The boredom was felt by all of us. When the show started it wasn't any better so we had to leave.

Lorenzo and Avery found a train that was just their size.

Bellingham

We spent the last week of July and beginning days of August in Bellingham ,WA. The original plan was for Chris and Dale to take a camping trip to Bellingham for some unbelievable mountain biking. Somehow it turned into a family reunion...minus Laurie's family. It was really fun to see everyone, Chris had a great time with his brothers and Lorenzo loved playing with his cousins and riding on the bikes.

Sailing

The last day we were in Bellingham, Uncle Dale took Lorenzo sailing.

He really liked his new life-jacket and hanging off the edge of the boat.

The last couple days of our trip were spent with our good friends from Hawaii, Spencer and Ashley...and their new adorable son, Van. They are awesome and I totally miss living by them. Thanks Guys for letting us crash with you.
