The Birth Story

After a HUGE week of Banquets, Graduation and get togethers....we had the Grand Finale!! Our baby girl decided to come ten days early. I usually go a week late so I was really not expecting her for about three weeks. During the Graduation and all the rest of the night I was feeling really uncomfortable and had a couple of contractions here and there, but nothing major. But with Enzo and Solo I didn't feel anything until my water broke, so I started to think something was maybe going to happen. I didn't sleep very well that night, not because I was having contractions, but because I was really nervous. Solo came really fast and I was super scared that I was going to wait too long to go to the hospital and we weren't going to make it. All that worry was for nothing... if anything it made my labor longer because I was so physically tired going into it. I started having contractions around 7:30 am they were about 4 minutes apart and never got any closer than that. We got to the hospital around 9:00 am and Wren was born at 10:51am.  All I have to say about my labor, delivery and recovery is, I really wish that I would have been working out. I didn't do anything this pregnancy and I can really feel it. Wren is perfect though and that is all that matters.

Solomon absolutely loves his baby.

Chris finally let go of the idea that it was a boy...and i will say that he is totally smitten.

Enzo is super sweet and gentle with her and always wants to hold her.

I love you tons and i am really going to miss you like crazy!!........for future reference, i am pretty sure that food is the best hospital gift you can get. Is there a Doctor in the House?

After many guilt trips, Chris finally agreed to go to his Dental Graduation. Once he decided to go he insisted that Lorenzo be there for it. I was actually glad to have him there as an excuse to wait outside for almost half of it. The guest speaker was the founder of RAM (Remote Access Medical) He was amazing and I think he made the graduation worth while for Chris.  these are Chris's words on graduation "it was such a great experience, to wear that hat...and the gown....and that tassel."

Chris took a defensive stance, as he was a little uneasy letting Dean Glick put something around his neck.

We had three big activities this week. At all of them everyone kept saying congratulations to me....I thought they meant about the coming baby....they didn't.

Goodbye UB

Graduation morning there was an open house at the School of Dental Medicine for the families of the graduates to come and see where they had been for the past four years. We weren't going to go because we have been to the School tons of times and know all about it. But Chris needed to clean out his locker anyway and we thought we should take a couple final goodbye pictures.

this was Chris's chair for the last year...look at that view!

every year Chris comments on how much he loves the UB lawn covered with dandelions

notice Solo... a little untrusting of Enzo.

Glamour Shots

I think the Title says everything.

I just wanted Chris to document the size of my belly. He thought it might be a good idea to fix my hair. Then he asked if i could put on some makeup.....he has never asked me to do such a thing before. In-fact, he always tells me I look silly with it on. So after my hair and makeup were done I came out and told him i was ready.....He just looked at me for awhile and then he said, "you're not going to wear that are you?" So then I changed my clothes and here are two of the best photos he took. Thanks, honey.

PS....i know you love my glasses.

Lorenzo wanted to have a dance/pizza/movie party. It was pretty much a huge success. Unfortunately the pictures were not such a huge success.

Who needs hot water?

NOt us!! ....our hot water heater is on the fritz. Fortunately the boys can fit in the sink so I only have to boil a couple pans of water for them....Unfortunately Chris and I are not that small.

I am reminded of this picture from THREE!! (i can't believe it) years ago.

IT's A.......

At my 12 week appointment the Doctor and Chris were convinced that it was a boy. I kept thinking, 12 weeks is really early  and it could have been it's external genitalia or something else because I just knew it had to be a girl.  Well, Chris told the whole world it was a boy. I told him not to, but he was soo in love with the idea of three boys, just like him, Dale and Marty. Needless to say it is a GIRL....A most obvious one at that. I am beyond excited!! Even though the Dr. spent alot of time making sure it was a girl, Chris is still holding fast to the boy idea. He claims that you couldn't see anything in the Ultrasound...I could tell instantly. Once you have had a couple of boy ultrasounds you can definitely tell if something is missing. Plus.......the Chinese calendar never lies!
Lorenzo is really happy too. He has been asking for his Baby Sister ever since Solomon was born. Thankfully he doesn't want to name her T-Rex anymore.
I would post one of the pictures from the ultrasound, but they suck! I love my OB, but she seriously gives the worst pictures. I showed them to a couple people and there was only confusion....what is that?
